Tow Floats

Tow floats are compulsory if you are swimming at a Love Open Water venue.

Whilst a tow-float is not a safety device, it can provide a swimmer in trouble with stability and reassurance in the water whilst the safety team come to their aid.

Tow floats also allow our lifeguards to see our swimmers more easily.

A limited amount of tow floats are available to borrow at Love Open Water venues if you are visiting for the first time.  Regular swimmers should BYO tow floats

** You may be exempt from wearing a tow float during coached sessions.  This will be at the discretion of the coach and dependent on the type of session you are joining.

Swim Caps

You must wear brightly colored headwear every time you swim.  This could be a bright woolly hat in the winter, or a bright headband in the summer, if you swim 'head up'.

We have swim caps available for purchase at all Love Open Water venues - 6.50
