Do I need to be a member to swim at Love Open Water venues?

Modified on Fri, 21 Nov at 12:29 PM

All Love Open Water venues are part of the NOWCA affiliated network of open water swimming venues and you must be a NOWCA member to pre-book and swim.

NOWCA membership costs just 20.00/year and comes with lots of benefits

  • Access to Love Open Water venues plus 50+ other venues in the NOWCA network, located around the country
  • A safety wristband - this is collected on your first visit to the venue and contains vital emergency and medical information which can be accessed in case of an emergency.  It is used to tap in and out of your swim at the venue so safety staff know exactly who and how many people are in the water at any time
  • Personal accident and injury insurance - you are ensured when you swim at NOWCA venues and the coverage also includes your commute to and from your swim
  • Premium access to NOWCA Wild, NOWCA's Wild Swimming app which lists swimming locations around the country and allows you to connect with the swimming community via the groups function
  • Free entry to the annual Sub10 Club run by NOWCA over the winter months.
  • Access to NOWCA Perks - loads of great discounts on swimming gear
  • Discounts to NOWCA sponsored swim events
